William R. Roy started his practice, William R. Roy, AIA Architect, in Ludington, Michigan in 1981. In 2006, he started the R2 Design Group and opened an additional office in Grand Rapids after approaching his son Bill about joining his practice to help manage his growing client base. As a respected architect in West Michigan with more than 35 years of experience, his projects include government, healthcare, institutional, educational, ecclesiastical, single and multi-family residential uses. Bill’s projects reflect the character of their settings and are noted for their creativity while staying within budget.

Jonathan I. Blair
Director of Design/Partner
Jonathan Blair, director of R2’s design studio, helped William M. Roy build the Grand Rapids office to where it is today and is actively involved in the planning, programming and design for projects of all types. As design principal, Jon is responsible for a project’s aesthetic and functional integrity as well as the firms overall design direction. His extensive portfolio and over eleven years of experience allow him to follow projects through all phases of development from conception to construction administration.
